Ethnic Aisles Ltd is more than a grocery store - it’s a community lifeline. Founded in Leeds in 2020 by Kaddy Jabang, our story began during a time of personal crisis, when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. That experience revealed the deep health inequalities facing people of African and Caribbean heritage, especially women and girls in our community. Many were silently battling preventable illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, and late-stage cancer, with limited access to culturally relevant support.

 

Motivated by a desire to make a difference, Ethnic Aisles was born. We provide healthy, affordable Afro-Caribbean groceries alongside wellness education and inclusive fitness programmes, all under one roof. But above all, we are a space where people feel seen, heard, and connected.

 

We believe food is medicine, culture is strength, and community is healing. Whether you’re picking up traditional ingredients, joining a wellness workshop, or simply stopping in for a chat, you are part of something bigger at Ethnic Aisles.
